Apparently, French law enforcement will have Peugeot 5008 as their official police vehicle soon. This car, has been selected by the Ministry of the Interior as a suitable car for the police forces and the gendarmerie.
You might ask yourself why Peugeot 5008 has been dedicated to this important matter. The first and probably the most important reason is the car’s nationality. Its from a French carmaker, so it would set a good example for people to support their products and industries. The other one, is that Peugeot 5008 is pretty a qualified model and its specifications meet the standards of the law enforcement.
After the decision was final, the Ministry of the Interior ordered 1.263 units of PEUGEOT 5008, to be built in Sochaux and Rennes plants.
It must be technologically rich and strong. It Must have two extra seats, probably for carrying some the police equipment required for the duty and missions.
The police version of Peugeot 5008 will be Artense Grey and the ones which belong to the national gendarmerie are going to be Sulawesi Blue and Bullseye Blue.

According to the Ministry of the Interior, the whole process of preparing this SUV and turning it into a police car, will be completed until November 2022.
