Initially introduced in 2022, Polestar unveiled the Long Range Dual Motor variant equipped with the Plus and Pilot packages, with a starting price of $83,900. This cost would escalate to $89,900 with the addition of the Performance Pack. However, in a recent development, Polestar has revealed a fresh entry-level offering priced at $73,400, which exclusively includes the Pilot Pack. This pack incorporates essential features such as a head-up display, Pilot Assist, Park Assist Pilot, and Lane Change Assist.
For consumers seeking enhanced features, there is an option to upgrade to the Polestar 3 with both the Plus and Pilot Packs, now priced at $78,900, resulting in a $5,000 saving. The Plus Pack introduces superior upholstery, heated rear seats, and larger 21-inch wheels, along with a 25-speaker Bowers & Wilkins premium audio system, including a unique "fresh air subwoofer."
Both variants are equipped with a 111 kWh battery powering a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system generating 489 hp and 840 Nm of torque. This setup allows the crossover to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in five seconds and achieve a range of 507 km on a single charge, surpassing previous estimates by 24 km.
For those seeking an enhanced driving experience, the Polestar 3 with the Pilot and Performance Packs is available for $79,400. This model features sportier chassis tuning, distinctive Swedish gold accents, and larger 22-inch forged alloy wheels. Notably, a software update boosts the power output to 517 hp and 909 Nm of torque, reducing the 0-96 km/h time to 4.7 seconds. However, this enhancement comes at the cost of reduced range, which now stands at 449 km.
Finally, the Polestar 3 with the Pilot, Plus, and Performance Packs is priced at $84,900, representing a $5,000 reduction from the original price announcement.
