The new Taycan is here and that means the German company, Porsche, has released its fourth full-electric sports vehicle. Now it proudly stands next to Porsche Taycan Turbo S, Porsche Taycan 4S and Porsche Taycan Turbo.
The Porsche Taycan is one of those models which will never get old and will always be loved. So, it is safe to say that the Porsche always has big plans for its offspring and tries to bring out the best in it.
The new Taycan features two batteries which come in two different sizes. One of them is called the Performance Battery, delivering 408 PS (300 kW). The other one is called Performance Battery Plus, making 476 PS (350 kW). The latter is offered as optional, while the first pack is standard. The young Taycan comes with RWD capability.
One of the most interesting functions Porsche has ever offered is found on this one. It is called Plug & Charge and it is responsible for charging and paying automatically, without any applications or cards. There some other optional equipment such as a color head-up display and an on-board 22 kW charger.
The all-new Taycan is ready to hit 100 kilometer per hour in less than 6 seconds (5.4 seconds). The top speed is 230 km/h. The charging capacity of Performance Battery is for 2250kW as the number is 270 kW for Performance Battery Plus. They can both be charged from 5 to 80 percent in 22.5 minutes.
The model’s optional adaptive air suspension is supported by company’s new system called Porsche Active Suspension Management. It also comes with Smartlift capability that lets the car to adjust the ride height automatically.
The all-new Taycan benefits from a purist design. It is so classy and chic that many automakers are predicted to follow Porsche’s steps, so that could be the start of a whole new era. You can see Porsche’s DNA in each and every touch on the body with your own very eyes.
The roof forms a beautiful and delicate silhouette. The new Porsche Taycan comes with 19-inch Aero wheels. The wheels are paired with black brake calipers.
Inside, we see that the seats are covered with recycled materials, not leather. The cabin design follows the same footsteps as the new architecture introduced in 2019. The 10.9-inch infotainment system shines on the center of the dashboard. If you are willing to, you can get an optional display for the front passengers as well.
