The Ford Mustang, renowned as the globe's premier sports car in terms of sales figures, has now made its grand entrance into the European market. Embracing both coupe and convertible variants, the European version mirrors its American counterpart closely, boasting a robust design infused with timeless styling elements. Noteworthy features comprise sleek LED headlights, a menacing grille, and an updated color palette introducing three fresh hues: Blue Ember, Vapor Blue, and Yellow Splash.

Ford emphasizes the convertible's "fully lined and insulated roof," operable in a mere eight seconds, without compromising trunk capacity, accommodating two golf bags effortlessly.

Inside, drivers are greeted by a familiar 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster alongside a 13.2-inch infotainment system. This advanced system offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, complemented by a 5G connection facilitating music streaming and real-time traffic updates. Additionally, the display supports the Unreal gaming engine, ensuring immersive graphics and extensive personalization options.

Under the hood, the Euro-spec Mustang GT boasts a 5.0-liter V8 engine generating 440 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque—figures slightly lower than its U.S. counterpart. An optional active-valve performance exhaust system elevates the output to 486 hp and 566 Nm, enhancing the driving experience.

The Euro-spec model offers a choice between a six-speed manual and a ten-speed automatic transmission, with a Performance Package as standard. This package includes Brembo brakes and a limited-slip differential, while an optional MagneRide suspension system, adjusting a thousand times per second, promises optimal control and comfort.

For enthusiasts seeking more power, the Dark Horse variant presents an upgraded 5.0-liter V8 engine delivering 447 hp and 540 Nm of torque. However, it falls short of the U.S. version's impressive 500 hp and 566 Nm of torque.

Though governmental regulations likely contribute to the reduced output, the model compensates with unique chassis tuning, featuring larger rear anti-roll bars, heavy-duty front dampers, and additional braces for enhanced stability. It rides on 19-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero PZ4 tires, ensuring exceptional grip and handling.

Further enhancing performance, the Mustang offers a suite of driver assistance systems, including intelligent adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and avoidance assistance. These are complemented by reversing emergency braking assistance and traffic sign recognition with speed limit assist.

Available for order across Europe, the Mustang GT starts at €59,900 in Germany, offering an enticing blend of performance and affordability. This pricing strategy contrasts sharply with the €86,000 starting price in Austria, making it an attractive option for European enthusiasts.
