Tesla is one of the most important carmakers in North America and the whole auto industry. Not so long ago, Elon Musk’s brand announced an updated version of one its most beloved sedans, the Tesla Model S.
According to the company itself, the refreshed Model S will get to the market soon and its production will probably start in no time. Tesla has not released many pictures, but in what we have seen, the interior is glowing, like literally!
The Tesla Model S’ interior has adopted the vertical tablet-style layout, which we can see in Model S and Model X. 17.0-inch landscape display is a replacement for the usual one we got to see and resembles the Model T and Model 3.
According to Tesla, the resolution has now increased to 2200x1300, while it provides brighter colors. It also responses quicker than before. In the current pictures, we see that the new Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X both come with 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
One of the most interesting features of the new Model S is its new and strange steering wheel. It is so futuristic and is really different from the usual ones. It also reminds us of the new Roadster concept model. There are no stalks inside, meaning that wheel-mounted buttons get the turn signals and operated based on the situation.
The dashboard has been refreshed as well, as it showcases the vent-less HVAC system. Originally, the system belonged to the Model 3. For the rear seats, we see new bolstering on the left and right sides. There is also a special display for the rear passengers, which is placed at the bottom of the center console.
Of course the upgrades are not limited to the cabin. You can easily identify the vehicle as Tesla Model S, so that means that the biggest part of the changes belongs the lower front fascia, which makes the EV look more aggressive than before.
The Model S comes with a dual-motor Long Range power system and its higher trim level is called the Plaid+. The Plaid+ trim will arrive at the market later this year, as it will be equipped with company’s new battery cells. The new battery offers a range of 520 miles, as it hits 100 km/h in 1.99 seconds only!
