Lotus has expanded its Emira lineup with the introduction of the Turbo SE, a new variant that offers enhanced performance and a distinctive set of features. This latest addition joins the existing Emira Turbo and Emira V6, providing customers with a wider range of options to suit their preferences.

The name "Turbo SE" pays homage to Lotus's heritage, referencing the optional "Special Equipment" package offered in previous models like the Type 14 Elite, Type 26 Elan, and Elan S3. This new variant comes equipped with the Lotus Drivers Pack as standard, which includes sportier suspension settings, upgraded brakes, and launch control, ensuring a more dynamic and engaging driving experience.

The Turbo SE boasts a unique visual identity with its 20-inch V-spoke forged Satin Grey wheels, Zinc Grey paint, Alcantara headliner, red brake calipers, and distinctive badging. These elements combine to create a visually striking and sporty appearance.

Under the hood, the Turbo SE is powered by an AMG-sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. While the standard Emira Turbo is limited to 360 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque, the Turbo SE delivers a more potent 400 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque. This increase in power and torque allows the Turbo SE to match the performance of the Emira V6 while offering a more accessible and responsive driving experience.

The Turbo SE is exclusively available with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, providing smooth and efficient gear changes. In contrast, the Emira V6 continues to be offered with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmissions. The added power and torque of the Turbo SE translate to a quicker acceleration time of 4.0 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, compared to the standard Emira Turbo's 4.3 seconds. Additionally, the Turbo SE has a higher top speed of 290 km/h, showcasing its impressive performance capabilities.
