Subaru recently unveiled a thrilling surprise at the Tokyo Auto Salon: the WRX S210, a limited-edition masterpiece hailed as the pinnacle of Subaru's STI complete cars. Built upon the foundation of the WRX S4 STI Sport R EX, the S210 boasts a range of performance, chassis, and styling enhancements inspired by the formidable WRX NBR Challenge race car that competes in the grueling Nurburgring 24-Hour Race.

While the current generation WRX has yet to receive a full-fledged STI variant, Subaru has consistently delighted enthusiasts with special editions meticulously tuned by STI. The S210 continues this tradition, pushing the boundaries of performance.

A significant highlight is the enhanced 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer engine, now delivering a potent 296 horsepower, a substantial 25 horsepower increase over the standard WRX lineup. This power surge is attributed to a meticulously engineered combination of upgrades, including a refined intake system, a pre-turbo duct, a low-back pressure exhaust system, and a meticulously recalibrated ECU. While torque remains steady at 375 Nm, it exhibits a more linear and responsive delivery.

Power is exclusively channeled to all four wheels through Subaru's renowned Performance Transmission, an advanced continuously variable transmission (CVT). Subaru has meticulously fine-tuned this transmission to seamlessly match the engine's output and driving force, enhancing driving pleasure and responsiveness.

Chassis enhancements further elevate the S210's dynamic capabilities. ZF-sourced electronically controlled dampers have been meticulously re-tuned, complemented by revised coil springs and rear stabilizer bushes. Stopping power is significantly augmented with the inclusion of drilled and ventilated discs on all four wheels, high-performance brake pads, and Brembo six-piston calipers gracing the front axle.

The S210 rides on a set of exclusive 19-inch STI Flexible Performance wheels crafted by renowned wheel manufacturer BBS, wrapped in high-grip Michelin tires (255/35R19) for enhanced grip and cornering prowess.

Beyond the performance upgrades, the S210 boasts a striking visual presence. A prominent dry carbon rear wing dominates the rear profile, complemented by a purposeful front splitter, sculpted side skirts, and a pronounced rear diffuser, all finished in a sophisticated Crystal Black Silica. A vibrant Cherry Red stripe accents the grille, adding a touch of visual drama. S210 badging and prominent STI emblems leave no doubt about this car's exceptional pedigree.

Inside, the S210 indulges occupants with motorsport-inspired Recaro seats featuring carbon backrests, luxurious Nappa leather upholstery, and eight-way power adjustments for personalized comfort. The interior exudes a sophisticated black theme accented with vibrant red highlights, further embellished with STI emblems and a unique S210 serial number plate.

Production of the Subaru WRX STI S210 is strictly limited to just 500 units, making it a highly exclusive and coveted offering. While specific details regarding availability will be announced in the spring of 2025, it remains uncertain whether this exceptional model will be exclusively available in the Japanese market or if a limited number will be allocated to other global markets.
