Suzuki Across To Recieve Some Upgrades, Extra Color Option, Upgrated Technology

The Across was debuted by Suzuki in 2020, and the time has come for the plug-in hybrid SUV to receive some technology and equipment updates.

As you may know, the Suzuki Across is a rebadged Toyota RAV4, therefore it shares almost all of Toyota's characteristics. The exterior stays the same, but consumers can now select any of the six available colors at no additional cost.

Because the USB ports have been improved from type A to type C, the Across will now charge your phone faster. The inclusion of LED lights in the fog lamps, headlights, rear cabin light, and cargo compartment light improves efficiency incrementally. Finally, the switches on the overhead console and the mirror controls are now lighted.

The most significant change is that the Across now includes a 6 kW onboard AC charger as standard equipment. In a 32A quick charger, this reduces charging time from 5.30 hours to 2.45 hours. The time it takes to charge a 16A device at home is cut in half, from 36 minutes to less than 5 hours.

The Suzuki Across is offered with the same RAV4 Prime plug-in hybrid technology. The E-Four AWD technology sends power to all four wheels via a 2.5-liter engine and electric motors, providing a total of 302 horsepower. In EV mode, the front-mounted electric motor alone provides 180 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque, which is sufficient. A 75-kilometer electric-only range is possible thanks to the 18.1 kWh lithium-ion battery placed on the floor.
