The Craftsmanship and Heritage Infused into the Special Edition Continental GTC

Author: |

Bentley Mulliner and jewelry company Boodles have joined forces for a unique collaboration centered around the Continental GTC. This bespoke grand tourer boasts an understated yet opulent color scheme, while the interior showcases intricate detailing, including a dazzling diamond-set pendant crafted in 18-carat white gold adorning the center console.

Maintaining the mechanical integrity of the standard Continental GTC Mulliner, there are no alterations under the hood. The presence of the 12-cylinder powertrain is signaled by the oval tailpipes, delivering 641 hp and 900 Nm of torque from the twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine. Power is efficiently distributed to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Externally, the Bentley x Boodles Mulliner Edition Continental GTC is swathed in Porpoise Grey, creating a striking contrast with the Linen interior. Chromework accents are complemented by Powder Pink highlights, a signature hue for Boodles, adorning the splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler. Mulliner has also opted for 22-inch wheels finished in Tungsten with polished accents.

Inside the cabin, the pièce de résistance is the exquisite "Be Boodles Bentley" pendant, resplendent with diamonds and white gold, delicately inset into the center console. The dashboard and door cards feature dual-finish inserts combining Piano Linen with an Autumn Stone veneer dating back 200 million years, accented with Powder Pink piping. Hand cross-stitching embroidery in the same shade, totaling 278,566 stitches and six hours of meticulous craftsmanship, further enhances the interior ambiance.

Subtle nods to Boodles' heritage as goldsmiths are evident in the touches of 24-carat gold adorning the air vents, while Linen hide cushions provide added comfort for occupants. The jewelry company's logo, alongside its founding year of 1798, is discreetly integrated into various elements of the Continental GTC, including the front fenders, dashboard, side sills, and puddle lights.

This exclusive creation will be unveiled on April 11 at Jack Barclays Bentley dealership in London, marking its first public appearance. Following its debut, the bespoke model will be available for purchase, although pricing details have yet to be disclosed. Given the bespoke craftsmanship and the use of luxurious materials, it is expected that the Boodles-branded special edition will command a significant premium over the standard Continental GTC.
