The A90 Final Edition is a track-focused, limited-production Toyota Supra designed exclusively for the European and Japanese markets. Contrary to expectations, it doesn’t carry the "GRMN" designation. Toyota will manufacture only 300 units of this high-performance coupe, which boasts significant enhancements over the standard six-cylinder model it is based on.
This special edition features a newly designed aerodynamic package that includes a front spoiler and a rear swan-neck wing, both crafted from lightweight carbon fiber. Additional aerodynamic components include front canards, a center flap, and a carbon fiber hood with a duct that can be opened during track events for extra cooling. These modifications aim to optimize the car's track performance and cooling efficiency.
Mechanically, the A90 Final Edition shares its aluminum rear subframe mounts with the GT4 race car, while incorporating a strengthened front-cowl brace and reinforced front underfloor for added rigidity. Toyota engineers have recalibrated the electric power steering system and adjusted the camber angle to improve handling and grip. The coupe sits on lightweight, staggered TGR-branded wheels, with 19-inch rims in the front and 20-inch rims at the rear. These are paired with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, which are 10% wider than the standard Supra’s setup, enhancing road contact and stability.
Inside the cabin, the A90 Final Edition is equipped with carbon fiber Recaro bucket seats and red seatbelts, while Alcantara trim adorns various surfaces, creating a sporty yet refined interior ambiance. The model is offered exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission. While rumors speculated the inclusion of BMW’s S58 engine, Toyota retained the familiar B58 turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six. However, this engine has been significantly tuned, delivering an impressive 429 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque. This marks a considerable improvement over the U.S.-spec Supra, which produces 382 horsepower, and even more so over the detuned European version, which has 335 horsepower due to stricter emissions regulations.
Additional upgrades for the A90 Final Edition include larger 19-inch Brembo front brakes, an adjustable KW suspension, and an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system, which enhances the engine’s sound profile.
Toyota is also launching a revised version of the Supra 3.0 for global markets, called the Lightweight Evo in Europe, available starting January 2025 alongside the A90 Final Edition. This updated model features reinforced aluminum stabilizers, a strengthened rear underfloor brace, chunkier Brembo brakes, and a carbon fiber ducktail spoiler. Its interior updates include red seatbelts, Alcantara trim, and red stitching.
Toyota emphasizes that the A90 Final Edition represents the last iteration of the current-generation Supra, hinting at the possibility of a sixth-generation model in the future.
