Volvo finally revealed the pricing detail of its electric crossover Volvo XC40 Recharge for the North American market. Pricing for Volvo XC40 Recharge Starts from $53,990 for the United States and CA$64,950 in Canada which is equal to US$49,346.
Volvo XC40 Recharge is an all-electric version of the XC40 crossover with dual-electric motors that can produce combined power of 402 hp and 659 nm of torque. The car uses a 78kWh battery pack that supports 150 kW DC fast charging so it is easily possible to charge 80 percent of battery capacity in just 40 minutes. Volvo XC40 Recharge can provide about 375 km of driving range which is not that good because its main rival Tesla Model Y offers 468 km of driving range.
Volvo XC40 Recharge is based on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) that was co-developed between the Geely Group and Volvo. In terms of performance, the car can hit 100 kph in 4.9 seconds which is very good for a small crossover. The top speed is also 180 kph that is equal to any other Volvo product in the market.
Volvo XC40 Recharge comes standard with Active Bending LED headlights, Run-off Road Protection, Blind Spot Information System with Steer Assist and Cross Traffic Alert with Autobrake, a panoramic sunroof, 19-inch alloy wheels, power sunshade, dual-zone climate control system, a reversing camera, a 12.3-inch driver display and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and four USB-C ports.
Other options include Climate Package which is available at $750. This optional package contains a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and heated windshield wiper blades. There is also another package called the Advanced Package that costs $1,300 and includes a wireless smartphone charging pad, 360-degree cameras, high-pressure headlight cleaning, adaptive cruise control, and a 12-volt outlet in the luggage area.
