The new BMW M3 and M4 provide more outrageous performance, and part of the joy that comes with these two cars is BMW sticking to rear-wheel drive and manual transmission while raising power statistics at lengths.
These are the ideal ingredients for the ultimate drift vehicles, which are the topic of BMW M's new YouTube post titled "Definitive BMW M3 and M4 Drift Test."
The Red Bull Drift brothers, Elias and Johannes Hountondji, are behind the wheel of the ultimate 3 Series and 4 Series. If you're a fan of the aforementioned racing, these two require no introduction.
The Hountondjis evidently had a lot of fun sliding sideways with the M models, whether it's the two-door or the four-door, in this photo taken at the Hockenheimring. They praised how a street-legal automobile exceeded their expectations, which is not surprising.
The truth is that the M3 and M4 may be divisive due to their polarizing aesthetics, but other from that, I don't think BMW enthusiasts would have much to complain about in terms of performance.
The contemporary BMW 4 Series is offered in a variety of trim levels. The terrifying M4 Competition with its twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine is clearly the range-topper. The M440i, which also has a boosted six-cylinder engine but is substantially less powerful, is a step-down. The M440i produces 382 horsepower in US specs, compared to 503 horsepower for the M4 Competition.
