The Wuling Bingo SUV is a notable addition to the rapidly expanding Bingo series under its brand. Recently launched in the Chinese market, this 5-seat SUV comes with a starting price of $10,750. Produced by the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture, this unique crossover offers an impressive driving range of up to 510 km and a peak power output of 100 horsepower, making it a practical yet stylish choice for urban drivers.
The Bingo SUV is built on the same platform as the Bingo Plus, utilizing the Tianyu M modular architecture designed specifically for electric vehicles. This platform supports body lengths ranging from 3500 mm to 4600 mm, ensuring versatility in design. The vehicle’s exterior styling clearly aligns with the Bingo series, showcasing distinctive oval-shaped headlights, a minimalist front bumper, and a sleek, streamlined body. Despite its compact design, the SUV appears robust due to its high beltline and relatively small R15 wheels. To enhance its appeal, the vehicle features blackened pillars, a roof, and side-view mirrors, lending it a modern and sporty touch. Buyers can choose from four body color options: white, red, gray, and green. With dimensions of 4090 mm in length, 1720 mm in width, and 1575 mm in height, along with a wheelbase of 2610 mm, the Bingo SUV is well-suited for city commutes as a compact crossover.
The interior of the Wuling Bingo SUV is designed to maximize utility and comfort, despite its compact size. It offers an impressive 23 storage compartments throughout the cabin. Second-row passengers benefit from ample legroom, with up to 882 mm of space. For those needing extra cargo capacity, the rear seats can be folded down, increasing the trunk volume to a generous 1,450 liters. However, it is worth noting that the vehicle lacks a front trunk, and the second row does not feature an armrest or a central headrest. The central console houses a touchscreen interface powered by Ling OS, providing intuitive controls and entertainment options. Safety is ensured with the inclusion of four airbags.
Under the hood, the Bingo SUV features a front-mounted single electric motor delivering 100 horsepower and 180 Nm of peak torque. This setup allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. Three LFP battery configurations are available: a 31.9 kWh battery with a 330 km range, a 37.9 kWh battery offering 401 km of range, and a top-tier 50.6 kWh battery providing 510 km of range. Notably, the largest battery supports DC fast charging, reaching a full charge in just 30 minutes.
This compact yet capable crossover blends style, utility, and efficiency, making it a compelling choice for modern urban lifestyles.
