With a starting price of less than $10,000, the new BAW Calorie is now offered in China. A standard axle version and a long-axle version of the pickup truck from BAW are both offered. Early November saw the start of BAW Calorie pickup truck production.
A brand-new 2.0L Wuling Liuji engine with 5-speed manual transmission power the Calorie pickup, producing 142 hp and a maximum torque of 200 Nm. The payload capacity of the truck is between 495 kg to 795 kg.
BAW Calorie has a conventional pickup truck body shape and a cabin with four doors. A pronounced grille, a pair of large, straightforward headlights, fog lights, and a modest bumper make up its front end.
A 10.25-inch integrated dual screen is located inside, with one screen serving as the instrument panel and the other as the central controls. A three-spoke steering wheel, leather seats, a few hard buttons, and a 12V outlet are additional features.
Navigation, rear parking radar, ISOFIX child seat interface, electric air conditioning, tire pressure monitoring, remote control key, C-EPS electronic power steering system, Bluetooth, and phone compatibility are also included as standard features.
Reverse cameras, multi-function steering wheels, and electronically adjustable side mirrors are additional features of high-end trims.
The new BAW Calorie is currently up for presale in China, where prices range from $9,750 to $10,700.
