Honda introduced the updated version of CR-V Hybrid in the U.K for 2021. Honda CR-V Hybrid is going to be the only version of this crossover available in the U.K from December. For 2021 the powertrain remained the same as before with no changes as there is a 2.0-liter i-VTEC petrol engine under the hood that can run on the Atkinson cycle as well alongside two electric motors. The combined output of the hybrid powertrain is 181 hp. Honda also uses a new innovative fixed-gear transmission rather than CVT like before.
Honda CR-V Hybrid can hit 100 kph in 8.8 seconds for the FWD version and 9.2 seconds for the AWD version. The top speed for both models is 180 kph which seems enough for a midsize crossover.
Changes for the 2021 model are new blue H badges, Honda’s latest ‘e:HEV’ lettering to mention that the car is a hybrid, new 18-inch wheels, tinted glass and wireless smartphone charger.
Underneath the only change is for the suspension system and it is refined to have better handling and ride. The steering system has also been refined to have better maneuverability at lower speeds.
Pricing for the 2021 Honda CR-V Hybrid starts from £30,180 in the U.K.
