Mazda revealed the new 2021 BT-50 pickup with a fresh look. The new midsize pickup follows other Mazda products in terms of design which is called Kodo design language.
Probably the most significant changes can be seen on the front facia where there are new headlights and grille almost similar to the Mazda CX-5.
Though the front facial looks sport and a bit luxurious but the rest of the car is as typical as other pickup trucks.
Changes are also significant as you step inside. Actually the 2021 Mazda BT-50 is way better than the previous model. With a three-spoke steering wheel, large infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and soft leather on the center console, dashboard and seats, the cabin looks so upscale in the segment.
While the current model of the Mazda BT-50 shares most of its technical component with Ford Ranger, the 2021 model shares its powertrain with the Isuzu D-Max. Power provided by a 3-liter diesel engine that can produce 188 hp and 450 nm of torque.
Mazda has not released details like fuel consumption or emission data but they mentioned towing capacity of 3500 kg and payload capacity of 1000 kg.
On the safety side, 2021 Mazda BT-50 is equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Brake, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring System and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
