Ford is updating the Focus with several inside and exterior changes. For a cleaner front fascia, all trims now have revised standard LED headlights with built-in fog lights. To avoid blinding oncoming vehicles, optional pixel LED headlights to interact with a front camera to turn off sections of the headlight. The camera is also used by the higher-end lights to scan the road ahead and highlight the interior of curves.
The hatchback and wagon have blacked-out lenses, while LED taillights with a darker center region and a distinct light signature are now available.
The Focus ST receives new alloy wheels and a Mean Green color scheme inspired by the Puma ST and Fiesta ST. The performance model is still available in hatchback and wagon body variants.
The 2022 Focus has Ford's new SYNC 4 infotainment system, which includes a bigger 13.2-inch touchscreen, over-the-air upgrades, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The 48-volt mild-hybrid technology used in the EcoBoost mill helps to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Without electrification, the three-pot produces 100 horsepower and 125 hp when coupled with a six-speed manual transmission.
A four-cylinder 1.5-liter EcoBlue diesel with 95 horsepower or 120 hp is also available, both with a basic six-speed manual transmission, although the more powerful engine may be connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission as an option.
The Focus ST is equipped with a 2.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 280 horsepower. With the redesign of the ST, the Dearborn manufacturer has chosen to phase out the EcoBlue unit.
