Mercedes-Benz unveiled the new 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class All-Terrain, which follows the bigger E-Class All-Terrain. With this new model, Mercedes-Benz hopes to expand its lineup of "rugged" estate vehicles.
The C-Class All-Terrain is distinguished from the normal C-Class Estate by a variety of off-road-inspired components. It, for example, has 40 mm more ground clearance and a distinctive front grille, front and rear skid plates, and flared wheel arches. Because of the additional body components, the All-Terrain is somewhat bigger than the Estate, measuring 4 mm longer and 21 mm wider.
every C-Class All-Terrain versions are based on the Avantgarge exterior trim level, and they include a variety of polished metal embellishments. The trim on the B-pillars and the bars of the rear side windows are finished in high-gloss black, and customers may choose for the Night Package, which adds even more high-gloss black accents.
Mercedes-Benz has increased the size of the steering knuckles on the four-link front suspension. The car also has two new Dynamic Select driving modes: Offroad and Offroad+ with hill-descent control, or Downhill Speed Regulation as Mercedes calls it.
To aid with low-speed handling, a trailer maneuvering assistance is provided, which automatically modifies the steering angle of the towing vehicle at speeds of up to 5 km/h. It has a towing capacity of 1,800 kg.
All C-Class All-Terrain versions include Mercedes-4MATIC Benz's all-wheel-drive technology, which can send up to 45% of power to the front wheels and 55% to the rear axle.
The automobile is available with either a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with an integrated starter-generator or a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine with an integrated starter-generator and a 48-volt electrical system.
Mercedes-Benz will debut the C-Class All-Terrain to the public next month at the International Motor Show in Munich. The vehicle will not be available in the United States.
