Back in 201m Volkswagen T-Roc was for the first time introduced. This SUV uses a three-cylinder engine. Though, its sale rate always was satisfying. Now, it seems the company is making new upgrades on it, but not much successful. Changing the look to one of the real powerful SUVs is not a good Idea.
Actually, according to the photos autoevolution took, the new prototype of this car is under tests, but its not just about making new options on the vehicle, its somehow, how to fool the people too. Although this car has a three-cylinder turbo engine, designers decided to use four exhaust tips, which two of them are obviously fake (and out of plastic).
This exaggeration happened with the front bumper. This front big grille is not really beautiful. Beside that, using that large opening won’t stop the bugs get into radiator, although mesh grille is always used.
By the way, there are good changes two. By the R-Line visual package, this T-Roc will have new formed headlights, taillights, a central slat instead of two bars for the upper grille, and gloss-black accents. Under the car, Falken tires with steel wheels plastic covers are used. Also, sensors are almost everywhere.
Inside the cabin is other advantage for the VW T-Roc facelift. The larger infotainment system running the latest OS and a standard digital instrument cluster with a 10.25-inch diagonal are what customers really love. Also, some unofficial news says, this car would be the next plug-in hybrid crossover.
Also, Mk8 Golf, which was under operation by the Wolfsburg-based automaker, would like to use a plug-in hybrid option under the eHybrid moniker. That means, a 1.4-liter TSI four-cylinder turbo, with a dual-clutch transmission with six forward ratios, a 107-horsepower electric motor, and a 13-kWh battery located right in front of the rear axle. The WLTP cycle is 71 kilometers and being on the electric option, this Golf speeds up to 130 km/h.
Back to the 2022 T-Roc, it’s also possible for it to have a 1.5 eTSI mild-hybrid engine. The other engine options also will be 2.0 TSI or 1.6- and 2.0-liter turbo diesels. The diesel options these days don’t have a big market in Europe.
