Infiniti, much like its parent company Nissan, has begun offering previews of its future lineup, releasing a series of teaser images for upcoming models. These glimpses into Infiniti’s plans highlight several new vehicles, including a coupe-style SUV, an updated version of the QX60, and, as expected, a fully electric SUV.
Starting with the QX60, this mid-size luxury SUV, which debuted in its second generation in 2021, shares its underpinnings with the Nissan Pathfinder. Based on both official teaser images and recent spy photographs, Infiniti appears to be preparing a mid-cycle refresh for release later this year. The updates will primarily focus on exterior styling, featuring a reworked front end and an illuminated Infiniti emblem, along with minor design refinements. While some may have been anticipating more dramatic changes, this refresh will still provide the QX60 with a modernized look to keep it competitive.
Following the facelifted QX60, Infiniti is gearing up to introduce the QX65, a coupe-style crossover set to launch in 2026. This model will sport split LED headlights and a sloping roofline reminiscent of the original Infiniti FX, giving it a sportier, more dynamic profile. The QX65 is expected to serve as a sleeker, two-row alternative to the QX60, retaining the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 268 horsepower. This powertrain should offer a balance of performance and efficiency, making the QX65 a compelling option for buyers seeking a blend of style and practicality.
On the larger end of Infiniti’s lineup, the QX80 is also receiving an update in the form of a Sport package, set to arrive in 2025. This refreshed version of Infiniti’s flagship SUV is expected to introduce a more aggressive styling approach, though the extent of its “sporty” enhancements remains to be seen. The QX80 Sport package will be available in select markets, including Latin America and the Middle East, where the demand for luxury SUVs remains strong.
Perhaps the most exciting development is Infiniti’s forthcoming electric SUV, which appears to be the production model derived from the Vision QX Inspiration concept unveiled in 2019. Expected to launch in 2028, this vehicle will embody Infiniti’s latest “Artistry in Motion” design philosophy while incorporating a suite of advanced technologies. However, one notable absence from Infiniti’s recent announcements is the electric sedan based on the Vision Qe concept. Initially, this model was scheduled to debut ahead of the electric SUV, but the timeline seems to have shifted beyond 2028. Speculation suggests that Infiniti may have delayed its electric vehicle rollout due to changes in U.S. tax credits under the administration of President Trump. Originally, the brand planned to produce its EVs in Canton, Mississippi, though it remains unclear if this plan is still in motion.
