BYD just recently introduced the 2023 Qin Plus DM-i in China, and the carmaker is planning to introduce another improved Qin Plus model. The 2023 BYD Qin Plus EV will debut, per the carmaker, on April 7. The majority of the amenities from the present model will remain in the facelifted version, but given the recent pricing slaughter by Chinese automakers, a price cut is anticipated. The Qin Plus from BYD is offered in two variations: the plug-in hybrid Qin Plus DM-i and the electric Qin Plus EV.

A TZ200XSK motor with a 184 kW power output will power the redesigned Qin Plus EV. This is higher than the 135 kW offered by earlier generations. The 2023 Qin PLUS EV offers low- and high-power options, with the maximum torque of high-power variants decreasing.

A lithium iron phosphate Blade battery pack with a cruising range of 420–610 km will be installed in the vehicle. The batteries' combined energy has increased to 48 kWh, 57.6 kWh, and 72 kWh, respectively, and under normal operating conditions, each battery uses 11.6 kWh, 11.9 kWh, and 12.5 kWh of energy per 100 kilometers.

The exterior won't change until 2023. The vehicle is still shaped like a compact sedan, measuring 4765/1837/1515 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2718 mm.

The new model will have a 15.6-inch center control screen and an 8.8-inch floating LCD instrument panel. New versions from BYD will come standard with perforated seats, and high-end ones will include 8 speakers. BYD will also install the DiLink4.0 technology in the car's computer system.

Moreover, a new brown interior color scheme as well as a mechanical key and an NFC card for the car's key fob could be implemented.

According to local media, dealerships expect the Qin Plus EV's price to drop to around $17,400. The 2021 model began at $20,600. The price of the recently released 2023 Qin Plus DM-i has also been reduced. It is now priced at $14,600, but it was originally sold for $15,400.
