Nissan made the decision to add some modest modifications to the second-generation Juke for the 2023 model year in Australia. The Juke Hybrid recently debuted these improvements in Europe, raising costs a little in the process.
Despite the fact that the second-generation Nissan Juke has been on the market since 2019 and is now sporting the redesigned Nissan symbol, it still manages to seem rather modern. Visually, the color palette has expanded to include the hues Ceramic Grey and Magnetic Blue, and new 17-inch alloy wheel designs are available for some trims.
The turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine still produces the same 113 horsepower and 180 Nm of torque. A seven-speed DCT automatic transmission that drives the front axle is standard on all models with AU specifications. Australia does not offer the Juke Hybrid.
What is less obvious are the aerodynamic modifications that, according to Nissan, were made to the entire Juke lineup after making their premiere on the Juke Hybrid. These are probably restricted to the underbody because the non-electric Juke's grille resembles that of its outgoing model and maintains the visual distinction with the hybrid.
The 2023 Nissan Juke is available in five trim levels in Australia: ST, ST+, ST-L, ST-L+, and Ti. The ST and ST+ get new 17-inch wheels, while the ST-L gets black trim and leather accents with white stitching inside. All Jukes, starting with the ST-L, have a redesigned luggage board in the boot, as well as a new Intelligent Key system with proximity locking and unlocking. Finally, the Bose audio system with UltraNearfield speakers built into the front headrests adds two more rear speakers in the ST-L+ and Ti trims, bringing the total to ten.
Pricing in Australia ranges from $28,390 AUD for the Juke ST to $36,890 AUD for the Juke Ti, an increase of $400 AUD from the previous generation. Early in 2023, the Juke will be available in Australian dealerships.
