The fourth generation of the Skoda Superb isn't scheduled to enter the market until 2023, but a new report from Auto Express attempts to throw light on how Skoda's range-topping car will change for its next iteration, which is likely to increase in size even more to differentiate itself from the Octavia.
According to reports, the new Superb will be equipped with the Volkswagen Group's last combustion engine development. In order to comply with Euro 7 standards, which are expected to take effect in 2025, more efficient gasoline and diesel engines are in the works.
Thomas Schäfer, the company's CEO, has already announced that the vehicle will be available in both liftback and wagon forms.
Because the Octavia and Superb are popular fleet vehicles, electric powertrains will continue to be available.
The design of the 2023 Superb will be a development of the present model. It'll have a more aggressive appearance and the biggest grille the Czech brand has ever used. The liftback is rumored to have a more coupe-like sloping roofline and a larger rear overhang, presumably to accommodate more luggage.
The new Superb will have a whole redesigned cabin on the interior. Some interior components will be borrowed from the Enyaq iV, implying that the electric SUV's 13-inch touchscreen will be included.
The Superb will be manufactured at VW Group's revamped Bratislava plant in Slovakia.
