The Cadillac Optiq 2025 is the brand's entry-level electric crossover. The Optiq is a compact crossover designed to sit beneath the Lyriq and promises to combine "spirited driving dynamics" with global appeal. At the moment, the company isn't saying much about the model, but we'll find out more next year.
A variety of information regarding the upcoming electric crossover has already been made public by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Specifically, the Optiq is expected to be 4,821 mm long with a 2,954 mm wheelbase. This indicates that despite having a 97 mm longer wheelbase, the model is about the same size as the XT5.
the crossover has a small fully enclosed grille that is flanked by vertical headlights. Lower air intakes and gloss black cladding connect them. Back further, we can see blacked-out A-pillars flowing into a black roof, continuing the two-tone design. Matching mirrors and a blacked-out rear pillar with a ribbed design connect them.
In contrast, the rear end is rather simple, but it features split taillights that are similar to those on the Escalade IQ. An angular rear window and a highly stylized liftgate unite them. Additionally, flush-mounted door handles and 21-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tires were added by the crossover's designers.
There are plans to install an electric motor with 201 horsepower and 241 horsepower in the Chinese Optiq. A dual-motor all-wheel drive version will also be available, with a predicted combined output of 283 horsepower.
The most enigmatic aspects are still pricing and range, but the $57,195 Lyriq is well below the competition.
