With more than 3 decades of experience tuning BMWs, AC Schnitzer is showcasing a whole line of parts for the i4 EV. It's not the first time ACS has tried to upgrade an electric BMW. The tuner already has packages for the i3 and the i8 hybrid sports vehicle.
Aerodynamic additions such as front splitters, side wings for the front bumpers, a rear roof spoiler, a rear trunk-lid lip spoiler, and coordinating side blades on the rear quarters are included in the cosmetic changes.
New springs that decrease the vehicle's ride height are also included in the parts. With the parts installed, the i4's front is 20 mm lower and its back is 25 mm lower.
The AC1 five-spoke wheels from AC Schnitzer come in 19- and 20-inch sizes and two distinct finishes. Five pairs of its AC4 spokes, which taper inward at the rim and are available in either an all-black or silver finish, make up the wheel's design.
A few minor adjustments for the cabin are also provided by AC Schnitzer. The pedals, footrest, iDrive system controller lid, and keyholder all have aluminum trim elements.
The electric motors in the i4 have not been modified. The regular single-motor, rear-wheel drive i4 eDrive35 and eDrive40 models of the i4 offer 281 hp and 335 hp, respectively, while the dual-motor M50 model offers 536 hp to its four wheels.
The M50 can reach 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, while the other two can do it in less than 6.0 seconds, so even though the car hasn't been technically updated, it still offers performance on par with sport cats.
Pricing of AC part for i4 hasn't been detailed yet so you need to contact the tuner directly to get pricing information.
