Since it went on sale on September 12, the newly designed Aito M7 SUV by Huawei and Seres has accumulated over 80,000 orders. The manufacturer disclosed at the start of the previous month that over 40,000 orders were placed for the updated model. A 5-seat variant was selected in over 80% of orders, and a 6-seat version was selected in 19% of cases. There are five iterations of the model.
The SUV described as its main competitor by Li Auto CEO was initially released in July 2022. The facelift costs 70,000 yuan less than the original and is available for 249,800-329,800 yuan. After M5, this is Aito's second model.
Customers submitting orders with the Huawei-Seres brand may now take advantage of a 3,000 yuan discount and other benefits worth 30,000 yuan, including a 12,000 yuan cash fund to purchase optional interior and exterior equipment.
21-inch wheel hubs, extra gear, and a free NCA pilot are among the goodies.
The 1.5T hybrid system with range extension and the electric motor manufactured by Huawei continue to supply the power. The single electric motor on the back axle of the 2-wheel-drive version produces 200 kW and 360 Nm, while the two motors in the 4-wheel-drive version produce 330 kW and 660 Nm. There are two electric mode ranges available with the 40 kWh ternary battery pack by CATL: 210 km and 240 km (CLTC). The total range is 1,300 kilometers.
With its basic trunk storage of 686 L and its expandable capacity of 1619 L, the five-seater variant can hold thirty 20-inch luggage. With more than 27 sensors, the range extender for full-size SUVs can perform ADS 2.0 features like automated emergency braking, lane change, parking assistance, and collision avoidance.
Huawei-Aito produced an SUV in September that sold 5,248 units at retail. With 1,460 units sold, it was the best-selling model after the M5. M7 sold 31,182 units last year, more than 15,000 fewer than M5, which sold 47,358 units in the same period.
