BAIC BJ40 Pricing Released

At the Beijing unit of the corporation, the BAIC BJ40 has begun production. The brand's second generation of body-on-frame off-road SUVs is called the BAIC BJ40. It has arrived at the Chinese assembly line and is awaiting the start of sales. It had previously begun pre-sales in the home market.

The Chinese government authorized the second-generation BAIC BJ40's manufacture in June. In August, BAIC made the BJ40 formal public. Through the brand's app, they began quietly accepting orders for the car in September. BAIC released details regarding the BJ40's trim levels and price in October.

The BAIC BJ40's engine is a 2-liter turbocharged ICE manufactured by HYCET, a Great Wall Motor affiliate. It produces 395 Nm and 245 horsepower. The 8AT from ZF Friedrichshafen is matched with this engine. Part-time 4WD is the drive type used in the BJ40. It offers eleven driving modes. It takes ten seconds to accelerate from zero to one hundred.

With measurements of 4790 mm in length, 1940 mm in width, 1895 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2760 mm, the BAIC BJ40 is a mid-size SUV. It has 230 mm of ground clearance. The angles of approach and departure are 37 and 35 degrees, correspondingly. The BJ40's interior features a sizable LCD instrument panel with twin screens. There is only one version with five seats.

It has three trim levels and a suggested retail price range of $25,385 to $30,850 USD according to the manufacturer.
