In China, the Beijing (BAIC) BJ60 full-size SUV was finally introduced. A body-on-frame SUV with a prominent BAIC design language is the BAIC BJ60. The interior of the BJ60 came in two variations. The second one received seven seats, compared to the first one's five.
Its front end features a recognizable grille with built-in running lights and high beams. The BJ60 has blocky wheel arches, a high bonnet line, a large ground clearance, and a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate, giving it the appearance of a stylish SUV from all angles.
The BJ60 has the following measurements: 5040 mm long, 1955 mm wide, 1925 mm tall, and a 2820 mm wheelbase. The BJ60 is larger than the Land Cruiser Prado by 183 mm in length, 70 mm in width, and 35 mm in height.
Respectful approach and departure angles of 30 degrees and 24 degrees, respectively, are also available for the BJ60. For an off-road vehicle, it also has a respectable 215 mm of ground clearance.
The BAIC BJ60 has two screens inside, the first of which is an instrument panel with a 10.25-inch diameter, and the second of which is the main monitor with a 12.8-inch diameter. Numerous physical buttons, a monostable gear selector, a wireless phone charging pad, etc. are located in the center tunnel of the BJ60.
Other features include 256-color ambient lighting, a 12-speaker audio system with 1 external power amplifier, a heated steering wheel, and a driver's seat with a leg rest, heating, ventilation, and massage.
The BAIC BJ60's engine is a 2-liter ICE that has been turbocharged, along with a mild hybrid (48V) system. As a result, its maximum power output is 267 horsepower. 406 Nm is the torque measurement. Although BAIC hasn't disclosed the BJ60's 0–100 mph acceleration time, the top speed of the vehicle is 180 km/h.
Here, the ICE has an 8-speed automatic transmission and a part-time 4WD system with front, middle, and rear locks. The BJ60's also supports 9 distinct driving modes.
The price range for the BAIC BJ60's five trim levels was 33.500 to 39.950 USD.
