Bentley Unveils Istanbul-Inspired Luxury Collection

Author: |

Bentley has unveiled a trio of exclusive models to be sold only through its dealer in Istanbul, each designed to honor the historic landmarks and iconic sights of the Turkish city. This special series, known as the Bentley Mulliner Istanbul Silhouette Collection, comprises the Continental GT, Flying Spur, and Bentayga, all featuring the luxurious Azure trim and powered by a V8 engine.

Each of these models is finished in a striking Black Sapphire shade, which contrasts beautifully with the polished chrome elements of the Azure trim. Unique to the Continental GT and Flying Spur are the Dragonfly Blue accents on the carbon fiber splitter and side skirt extensions, a feature not present in the Bentayga, at least according to the official images provided.

The interior design of these models is particularly noteworthy, featuring bespoke Dragonfly Blue embroidery that depicts the Maiden’s Tower, the Galata Tower, and the Bosporus Bridges. These intricate graphics are found on the headrests and rear cushions, adding a touch of local heritage and artistry to the luxurious interiors. The use of Imperial Blue and Beluga leather is a nod to the patterned tiles of the Blue Mosque, another significant Istanbul landmark.

The Mulliner treatment extends throughout the interior, incorporating Piano Imperial Blue wood and "Galaxy" stone accents on the dashboard, and includes a distinctive metal plaque on the side sills. In keeping with the bespoke nature of these vehicles, each owner will receive a special key box.

The blue and turquoise hues adorning both the exterior and interior of these cars draw inspiration from the Bosporus Strait, a famous waterway that links the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara and separates the western part of Turkey from the mainland. This natural beauty is mirrored in the elegant design choices of the collection.

Technically, these models remain unchanged, retaining the comfort-focused configuration of the Azure trim. However, it is worth noting that the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine is set to be part of a plug-in hybrid system in the next generation of the Continental GT, reflecting Bentley’s commitment to electrification.

The Bentley Mulliner Istanbul Silhouette Collection is set to debut this month, though pricing details have not yet been revealed. While Bentley has suggested that availability will be limited, the "one-of-three" inscription on the side sills seems to indicate three distinct model variants rather than a total production cap. These models will be displayed at the Maslak showroom and a pop-up store in Galaport, offering a unique opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to view these exquisite vehicles.
