BMW has announced new updates for its European lineup. The Bavarian automaker will sell new PHEV models called 545e xDrive Sedan, 530e, and 530e xDrive Touring.
The BMW 545e xDrive Sedan uses an inline 6-cylinder engine connected to an electric motor and an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The car has a combined output of 394 hp. The new 6-cylinder engine is also available for the 3-Series and 8-Series. For the 3-Series is available as BMW 330d Sedan, 330d Touring, and BMW 330d xDrive Touring. The output figure for all three models is 386 hp. The luxury 8-Series is also available as BMW 840d xDrive Coupe and 840d xDrive Convertible with 340 hp.
Buyers of the new BMW 1-Series and 2-Series Gran Coupe can choose a new code called 116i or 216i with a three-cylinder petrol engine that pumps out 109 hp and 190 nm. While the three-cylinder engine comes standard with a 6-speed transmission but buyers can choose to get their cars with a 7-speed automatic transmission as well. The new three-cylinder diesel unit also produces 116 hp and 270 nm on the 216d. What is new for 1-Series as well is a new 120i version with a 178 hp and 280 nm of torque engine.
BMW buyers also will get adaptive LED headlights for the BMW X1 and BMW X2 crossovers and some new body paints for the BMW 4 Series, BMW X5, BMW X6, and BMW X7 models.
