Carlex Design has just shown its new product, which is based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
The Sprinter's exterior is painted in black and rides atop a pair of custom six-spoke 18-inch wheels that are also finished in black and covered in 255/55 R18 Continental VanContact tires. Carlex has also outfitted the van with distinctive bumpers and a matte grey graphics package to alert other drivers that this is no ordinary Sprinter.
Carlex has trimmed much of the inside in high-quality Nappa leather, with Carlex branding in the middle of the seats. An Alcantara headliner, ambient lighting, and a special steering wheel with a leather cover contribute to the van's opulent atmosphere.
The updated Sprinter appears to be a comfortable place to sit, but it is in the back that things have been pushed to the next level. The van, for example, has Carlex's Bus Floor System, which comprises a cushioned carpet, numerous seat and table combinations, and foldable counters. There is no word that Carlex Design upgraded the technical parts or not.
The Urban Edition package costs €18,995 (US$23,278), not including the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
