Changan's Qiyuan brand launched the Q05, its first plug-in hybrid SUV, for pre-sale on November 11. The Changan Qiyuan Q05, positioned as a compact SUV, comes in six exterior body colors: Atomic Gray, Star Blue, Moonlight White, Shadow Gray, and Dynamic Red.

Changan Qiyuan Q05 dimensions are 1865 mm x 4539 mm x 1680 mm with a 2656 mm wheelbase. Changan Qiyuan Q05, a revolutionary energy vehicle, has a closed front face with the Qiyuan brand emblem embedded in it. The car had 18-inch wheels as standard. A roof spoiler and a high-mounted brake light are combined at the back.

A three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, and a 12.3-inch central control screen are among the numerous features of the dashboard within. The central console supports wireless charging. Furthermore, the cabin features an electronic tailgate and a panoramic sunroof as standard. It also has a 5-seater arrangement.

Three USB ports, 64-color ambient lighting, OTA updates, a level 2 advanced driving assistance system, facial and voice recognition, and mobile phone remote control for controlling the air conditioner and seat heating are among the other configurations.

The plug-in hybrid powertrain of this vehicle includes a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine (model JL473Q5) and a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The engine has a maximum power output of 81 kW and a peak torque of 143 Nm. There are five models available, each offering different specifications and options for pure electric cruising range.

The 60 Lite and 60 Pro models are equipped with a 140 kW motor and 330 Nm of torque, along with a 9.07 kWh ternary lithium battery pack. These models have a pure electric range of 60 km according to the CLTC standard, and a comprehensive range of 1,150 km. They can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.1 seconds and have a WLTC fuel consumption rate of 2.65L/100km.

On the other hand, the 125 Air, 125 Pro, and 125 Max models feature a more powerful motor with an output of 158 kW and the same torque rating of 330 Nm. These models come with an upgraded battery pack consisting of an18.99 kWh ternary lithium battery pack. With this configuration, they offer a pure electric range of up to125 km according to the CLTC standard, as well as an impressive comprehensive range of1,215 km. Acceleration from0 to100 km/h takes only7.3 seconds while maintaining an efficient WLTC fuel consumption rate of1.33L/100km. Fast and slow charging are both supported. Fast charging takes 30 minutes to recharge the battery from 30% to 80%.
