Under Chery, there is a brand called Chery New Energy that specializes in all-electric cars. The following models are available from the brand right now: Wujie PRO, Arrizo E, Little Ant, QQ Ice Cream, and Shuxiangjia. On October 28, Chery New Energy introduced two brand-new New Edition versions of the two-door Little Ant mini-EV in China.
In contrast to the Classic Edition, the Little Ant redesigned Edition features a closed front face and a redesigned Qq logo. At the same time, the headlamps' design stayed the same, and the trapezoidal grille that covers the lower portion of the front face was retained.
The new car is available in seven exterior body colors: green, purple, white, gray, blue, light green, and pink. Its appearance is round and compact, measuring 3242/1670/1550 mm and having a wheelbase of 2150 mm. On the side, the new Little Ant adopts a suspended roof design and rides on blackened 15-inch multi-spoke rims. Additionally, the new Little Ant sits on an all-aluminum frame.
The cockpit's interior features a dual-color steering wheel, a 190cm2 illuminating makeup mirror, and a 10.1-inch central control panel. It is designed in white, pale blue, and black. Additional setups consist of Bluetooth, wireless charging, in-car WeChat, and remote control. There are two rows of seats inside.
A 36 kW and 95 Nm rear permanent magnet synchronous motor is included with the Standard variant. Its lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a capacity of 25.05 kWh, has a 251 km cruise range. A ternary lithium battery pack with a 28.86 kWh capacity will increase the range to 301 km. A further 29.23 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack provides a cruise range of 301 km.
With a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor rated for 56 kW and 150 Nm, the top-of-the-line model boasts a 40.3 kWh ternary lithium battery pack and a cruising range of 408 km. The maximum speed is 100 km/h. Normal, Eco, Sport, and Epedal are the possible driving modes. In addition, all versions enable DC rapid charging, which can recharge the battery to 80% in 40 minutes.
The Chery Little Ant micro EV costs between 77,900 and 82,900 yuan (10,600 and 11,300 USD).
