CUPRA with its celebration to its third anniversary, emphasized to the company achievements. From the successes with its new cars to the high sale rates through the pandemic. But this ceremony wasn’t finished just with what they achieved but also with mentions of the new 100 electric car of this Spanish automaker.
At the anniversary, company unveiled the CUPRA e-Garage virtual platform to show the future plans just in the sights of the famous guests like ambassadors Marc ter Stegen and Fernando Belasteguín, race drivers Mattias Ekström, Jordi Gené and Mikel Azcona, and Game of Thrones executive co-producer Vince Gerardis.
What has impressed the audience, is the good sale rates of this Firm. Although the legal born of company goes back to the 2018, but in just three years, the number of sales has grown with sharp rise. So, there is no wonder to hear the “CUPRA is here to stay”. And the key factor of company to stay, is Electrification. This company has already six hybrid variants of the CUPRA Leon and CUPRA Formentor on the market alongside the CUPRA Ateca and trying to attract more attention of European specially Norway and the Netherlands as the biggest market of electric cars. Also, Mexico, Israel and Turkey are on the list too.
CUPRA has also presented the CUPRA Formentor VZ5 which is a special limited edition with 390PS of which 7,000 units will be produced. This vehicle would have eight different powertrains. The crown jewel of CUPRA was good enough for Mattias Ekström and Jordi Gené as the company’s drives. In addition to Ekström and Gené, Spanish driver Mikel Azcona was confirmed as the third member of the brand's team for the PURE ETCR, the first-ever electric touring car competition.
“CUPRA is heading into era” is the new state by the automaker’s governments. After Terramar three years ago, for the 2021 CUPRA aimed for a big jump to go among the well-known automakers. Ask how? With its CUPRA Born. That is the surprise of CUPRA, a all-new 100% electric model, which comes along the six plug-in hybrid variants. The CUPRA Born, with 500 kilometers of range and also a well design will be the Ace of this automaker. The other aspect of having a new Born in company, is having more experience for better vehicles in near future.
The production of Born will happen in the second half of year at the Zwickau plant in Germany. In the end Wayne Griffiths, CUPRA President, announced at the end of the presentation that the brand is working to make the CUPRA Tavascan Electric Concept a reality.
