Honda has released the PHEV version of the Honda CR-V in China with the cooperation of Dongfeng with a base price of 273,800 Yuan. The facelifted version of the Honda CR-V with a hybrid powertrain is expected to boost Hondas’ sales in China.
The Honda PHEV CR-V is known as the CR-V Hybrid e+ and comes standard with a plug-in hybrid powertrain with an i-MMD system. It offers a faster power response and a more efficient fuel economy. Also, the new model is more quiet compared to the past and gives a better EV level of comfort to its passengers.
The Honda CR-V hybrid e+ uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine connected to an electric motor with 135kW and 315 nm of torque. The hybrid powertrain is mated to an E-CVT dual-motor gearbox. The average fuel consumption is 1.3 l-100km. As the CR-V Hybrid e+ is a PHEV car it can travel up to 85 km on EV mode.
Honda CR-V Hybrid e+ has a new front facia with its new headlights and grille. At the rear, there are LED headlights and a chrome strip. The headlights show the CR-V wider than what it actually is. The PHEV logo also reminds us that we are facing a plug-in hybrid car.
In terms of exterior dimension, Honda CR-V Hybrid e+ measures 4691mm long, 1861 mm wide, and 1679 mm tall. The battery is designed to be flat so it hasn't affected the interior space like many other PHEV vehicles.
One of the interesting features that are available on Honda CR-V Hybrid e+ is Honda SENSING safety super-sensing system. The Honda CONNECT also gives the car ability to connect to smart devices.
