Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance, is a quick and charming electric model which hits 100 km/h (60 miles per hour) in only 3.5 seconds. It means the speed reaches 100 km/h less than it does in the standard GT model (which is 3.7 seconds). Still the all-new Mustang is a little bit slower than Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, since this model need only 3.3 seconds in order to do so. It is a shame that the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance have less driving range than before.
The Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition’s power system, generates 480 horsepower (358 kilowatts), just like the original GT model. On the other hand, the produced torque (860Nm) is more than the standard GT, which makes 814Nm of torque.
The new Ford Mustang Mach-E Performance, has the same 88-kilowatt-hour battery pack as usual. The extra torque the new model generates, is the reason why EPA-estimated range decreased to 378 km or 235 miles. The regular GT’s estimated range was 402 km or 250 miles. It means the new edition can go on for 483 km (250 miles) on a single charge. That makes a big difference when you compare the two iconic models.
The higher torque is not the only thing that has changed. The newer version has 19-inch Brembo brake calipers. The 20-inch wheels are painted with ebony black, as the Pirelli tires hug them. The color of the front grill is carbonized gray.
Inside the cabin, we see ActiveX seat covers and upholstery which is gray as well. The instrument cluster panel has an aluminum applique on it.
Apparently, the company starts taking orders in the upcoming spring and delivers the Mustang Mach-E Performance Edition in late summer. The price of this new Mustang is estimated to start at $60,500.
