Great Wall revealed the Tank 500 PHEV SUV at the 2022 Guangzhou Auto Show. A division of Great Wall Motors is called Tank (GWM). The car is 5078 mm long, 1934 mm wide, and 1905 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2850 mm. The front face features a sizable hexagonal grille that is chrome-plated. Both sides LED headlights are easily recognized. Chrome outlines are used to decorate the windows. The vertical taillight group is connected by broad trim strips made of chrome plating. In the lower right corner is the PHEV logo. As a PHEV, the body features ports for both refueling and charging. The vehicle is equipped with 265/55 R19 or 265/50R20 Continental UltraContact UC6 SUV tires.

With high-end furnishings, wood trim, and an orange and black color scheme, the interior exudes luxury. A frameless 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 14.6-inch central control screen are included with the T-shape layout. Even the center stack has an analog clock with the Tank logo on it.

The Tank 500 PHEV uses a 2+3 seating configuration. Electronic adjustments are available for the front seats. The front and back seats can be heated and ventilated.

The 2.0T engine in the Tank 500 PHEV, coupled to a 9HAT gearbox, produces 300kW and 750Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. Its WLTC cruising range in purely electric mode is greater than 100km. Its WLTC fuel consumption in hybrid mode at full charge is 2.3L/100km.

19.94kWh of batteries power the Tank 500 PHEV. Both 30-minute fast charging and 3-hour slow charging are supported by the battery system.

Reservations are anticipated to go on sale at the Guangzhou Auto Show in 2022, and deliveries are anticipated to begin in the second quarter of 2023. The cost has not yet been disclosed.
