Honda Hao Ying, The Chinese Translation Of Honda CR-V

Honda Hao Ying is a new CUV vehicle built in a joint venture company Guangqi Honda Haoying based on the Honda CR-V. Honda Hao Ying is not available in the global market and it is only available in China. Honda also used more parts from China in Hao Ying in order to make it more localized.

Design

In terms of design, while Hao Ying follows Honda’s main design language it has a fresher look compared to the CR-V. the main design elements are the LED headlight with a wing shape daytime running lights inside them, a bold chrome grille, LED fog lamps, black wheels, plastic protective cover for the lower part of the body, and a rear roof-mounted spoiler.

While Honda Hao Ying has a sporty exterior design, inside the cabin the design is more conventional as like many other Hondas, it looks like a mainstream car. The overall quality of the cabin is good as Honda used soft materials on the dash. Honda Hao Ying comes standard with Honda CONNECT 2.0 infotainment system, voice recognition system, navigation, power tailgate, and Head-Up display.

Dimensions

Honda Hao Ying measures 4,634 mm long, 1,855 mm wide, 1,689 mm tall and with a wheelbase of 2,660 mm, the automaker claims that it has the best interior space in its segment.

The trunk is also big and practical as it is possible to retract rear seats to make the trunk even bigger.

Engine

Honda Hao Ying is available with two engine options. The first model is called SPORT TURBO and it comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 193 hp and 243 nm of torque. The second variant is called SPORT HYBRID and it uses a hybrid engine with 215 hp and 315 nm of torque. Both variants benefit from an intelligent AWD system.

Other highlights are the independent suspension front and rear, suspension sub-frame, and amplitude response damping system.

Honda Hao Ying is a successful model in the market. It has been 10 months that the Hao Ying is on sale and Honda sold more than 117k units.
