BMW M8 Competition is one of the fastest production GT cars with its 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 616 hp and 750 nm of torque. The engine power sent to all four wheels via 8-speed M Steptronic transmission and a tuned version of the xDrive AWD system.
While the automaker claims that the BMW M8 Competition can run from 0-100 kph in 3.2 seconds the recent test by Car and Driver proved that the car is way faster than what its makers said. They could set a 2.5 seconds time for 0-100 kph acceleration. This number is very good for a big 1,928 kg car.
Car and Driver also released a 0-160 kph which took just 6.3 seconds for the M8 Competition. The car also sat a 10.7 seconds record for quarter-mile sprint at 207.6 kph.
