Infiniti has embraced the industry trend of engine downsizing, replacing the QX60’s V6 engine with a turbocharged four-cylinder for the latest model year. The 2025 QX60 is now equipped with the same 2.0-liter variable-compression engine found in its smaller counterparts, the QX50 and QX55.

Despite the reduction in engine size, this turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers an impressive 268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque, coupled with a nine-speed automatic transmission. This represents a slight decrease in horsepower compared to the previous V6, which produced 295 hp, but the peak torque has been improved. Furthermore, fuel efficiency has seen an improvement, at least on paper. Front-wheel drive (FWD) models are rated at 22 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the highway, and 24 mpg combined. Meanwhile, all-wheel drive (AWD) models offer 22 mpg in the city, 27 mpg on the highway, and 24 mpg combined.

Beyond the new engine, Infiniti has introduced a Black Edition Package for the QX60, featuring an abundance of black trim. This special edition boasts striking black 20-inch wheels and gloss black roof rails. The black theme continues with the grille surround and badges, with the front badge now illuminated, adding a touch of elegance to the SUV. Additionally, all QX60 trims come with a new key fob that automatically unlocks the vehicle when you approach and locks it when you walk away.

The mid-level Luxe trim has also received an upgrade with the addition of a high-quality Bose 17-speaker stereo system as standard equipment. The QX60 is packed with advanced technology, including a 12.3-inch infotainment screen that supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and SiriusXM radio. The SUV is also equipped with an Around View Monitor featuring Moving Object Detection, a Smart Rear View Mirror, Traffic Sign Recognition, and ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link for single-lane highway driving.

Safety features are plentiful in the new QX60, including Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Rear Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning, and High Beam Assist.
