Koenigsegg has completed the first Jesko Absolut development car, which it will put through its paces before beginning customer deliveries.
Koenigsegg has revealed new photographs of the first pre-production Jesko Absolut, which is finished in Graphite Grey and with orange striping. It will serve as the lead test vehicle for the Jesko Absolut program, and it will be powered by the same twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 and nine-speed transmission as the normal Jesko.
The Jesko Absolut is different from the Jesko Attack, which was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, in that it is less concerned with track performance and more concerned with incredible peak speeds.
This is the car that Koenigsegg hopes to use to achieve a new production car top speed record. The Jesko Absolut has a theoretical top speed of around 531 km/h, according to Koenigsegg. Christian von Koenigsegg, the company's creator, has already stated that it will be the fastest automobile the company has ever built, now or in the future.
When operating on E85 fuel, the Jesko's supercharged V8 engine produces 1,600 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque. It has a drag coefficient of only 0.278 Cd as well.
The Absolut provides a lot of downforce despite being significantly more slippery than the Jesko Attack. In reality, it produces 1,400 kg of downforce at top speed, with 800 kg at 250 km/h and 1,000 kg at 275 km/h.
If 330 mph is correct, it will eventually overtake the 304 mph unofficial speed of the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+.
