The updated version of the Leapmotor C10 crossover, backed by Stellantis, has officially begun presales in China, introducing a range of enhancements to its powertrain and onboard features. The vehicle is set to enter the Chinese domestic market as a 2026 model, although it originally launched in March 2024. Since its initial release, the Leapmotor C10 has achieved impressive cumulative sales, reaching 97,103 units, as reported by China EV DataTracker. Furthermore, the C10 has also made its debut in international markets, serving as one of Leapmotor's key global offerings.
The newly announced 2026 model retains the same exterior and interior design as its predecessor, staying true to its original styling. This mid-size SUV continues to offer a sleek and modern appearance, with dimensions of 4739 mm in length, 1900 mm in width, and 1680 mm in height. Its wheelbase measures 2825 mm, offering a spacious cabin layout. Customers can choose between 18-inch and 20-inch wheels, contributing to both performance and aesthetic appeal.
A key upgrade in the 2026 version is the adoption of an 800V high-voltage electric system in the all-electric variant. This advanced system allows for significantly faster charging and improved battery efficiency. Alongside this, the car is now equipped with a larger 74.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, increasing its overall range. Under the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC), the C10 is now capable of traveling up to 605 kilometers on a single charge.
Performance has also seen a notable boost. The electric motor’s output has increased substantially to 295 horsepower—an improvement of 67 hp over the prior model. This enables the new C10 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, compared to 7.3 seconds in the earlier version. Such performance figures make it a competitive choice in the EV crossover segment.
Inside the cabin, the 2026 Leapmotor C10 is now powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor, enhancing the vehicle’s infotainment and digital interface. Additionally, the new model comes with advanced features such as a LiDAR sensor for improved driving assistance, upgraded electric door handles, a new purple exterior color option, and a 50W wireless phone charger. Meanwhile, the EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) variant maintains its existing powertrain configuration without major changes.
In terms of pricing, the EREV version is expected to cost between \$17,850 and \$19,230, while the fully electric variant ranges from \$19,230 to \$20,610. To attract early buyers, Leapmotor is offering several incentives, including a \$550 discount, a complimentary home charging unit, two years of free in-car internet service, and other promotional benefits.
