LEVC L380: A New Electric Giant Soars onto the Scene

LEVC, the London Electric Vehicle Company, is no stranger to innovation. Founded from the ashes of the iconic London Taxi Company, LEVC has shifted its focus to a future powered by electricity. Their current lineup features the TX, a stylish and modern electric taxi, but soon, a new challenger enters the ring: the L380 multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).

LEVC L380

Taking inspiration from the king of the skies, the Airbus A380, the L380 is no small fry. This behemoth of an MPV boasts impressive range thanks to its two battery options, both provided by CATL, a leading Chinese battery manufacturer.

Charging into the Distance:

Standard Range

The base L380 packs a 100 kWh battery, good for a respectable 570 km on a single charge. This option weighs in at 581 kg and powers a 268 hp electric motor from VREMT.

Extended Range

The top-of-the-line L380 comes equipped with a hefty 116 kWh battery, similar to the one found in the Zeekr 009 MPV. This beast weighs 679 kg and grants the L380 a whopping 675 km range. And if that wasn't enough, LEVC promises rapid charging capabilities: 200 km in just 10 minutes, with a 10% to 80% charge taking only 30 minutes.

LEVC L380 EV

The L380 isn't just about numbers; it's about spacious comfort. Built on the Geely SEA-derived SOA platform, the L380 stretches an impressive 5316mm long, offering ample room for up to eight passengers in a luxurious 2+2+2+2 layout.

Global Ambitions:

LEVC has set its sights on conquering the international market with the L380. While its debut will be in China in 2024, the company hasn't confirmed whether it will grace the roads of the UK, its home turf. Nevertheless, the L380 marks a significant step forward for LEVC, solidifying their position as a major player in the electric vehicle game. With its impressive range, spacious interior, and ambitious global aspirations, the L380 is poised to take the MPV segment by storm, proving that electric giants can indeed take flight.
