For the 2022 model year, Lexus introduced the Black Line grade to its GX SUV. The Black Line Special Edition will replace the trim in 2023, according to the luxury manufacturer.
Based on the Premium trim, the GX 460 Black Line has a new color scheme that includes Eminent White Pearl in addition to Obsidian and Nori Green Pearl. The model's front and taillights both have dark accents. They are joined by 18-inch gloss black wheels, a blacked-out spoiler, and a shark fin antenna. The Panoramic View Monitor bird's-eye camera system will now be included as standard equipment with The Black Line.
The skid plate, grille, and fog lights of the GX have a black finish added by Lexus. The SUV's transparent taillights at the back have black inserts.
The SUV's interior features a gray steering wheel, a black matte ash wood trim, and a black headliner. The new Boulder Gray NuLuxe-trimmed seat accents from Lexus are also available. Additionally, the special version has a Panoramic View Monitor, which will be standard starting in 2023. Additionally, a Mark Levinson premium audio system is now standard on the Luxury trim.
A 4.6-liter V8 engine that produces 301 horsepower and 446 Nm of torque is still used to generate power. It is coupled with a standard four-wheel drive system and a six-speed automatic transmission. In 7.8 seconds, the GX reaches 100 kph.
The starting price for the base variant of the 2023 GX is $57,575 according to the Lexus customer website. From $62,310, the Black Line Special Edition is available. Only 3000 units of the 2023 Lexus GX Black Line Edition will be produced.
