Lexus has unveiled a special edition for its IS sedan in the Japanese market, alongside minor updates for the 2025 model year. The IS300 and IS300h models receive the F Sport Black IV treatment, distinguished by exclusive styling elements and premium interior appointments.

This fourth iteration of the F Sport Mode Black series introduces a striking visual presence. Riding on a set of exclusive forged alloy wheels crafted by BBS, the F Sport Black IV boasts a sophisticated black finish. Complementing the dark wheels are black mirror caps with a smoked chrome finish, setting it apart from the preceding Black III edition.
Inside, the F Sport Mode Black IV exudes a refined ambiance. The cabin features elegant Ash wood inserts on the door cards and steering wheel, while the steering wheel and shift knob are adorned with dimpled leather for enhanced grip. The sport seats, equipped with heating and ventilation, are luxuriously upholstered in Ultrasuede. The 8-inch digital instrument cluster showcases new opening graphics, and the Panoramic View Monitor is now included as standard, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.
The 2025 Lexus IS500, powered by a potent 5.0-liter V8 engine, continues to be offered and now includes a genuine leather seat option in a choice of black, white, or red. While this performance-focused sedan may not be available in the F Sport Mode Black IV trim, it does share the distinctive black mirror caps with a smoked finish. Notably, Lexus has added a convenient external power supply attachment to the IS300h accessory outlet, enabling the car's systems to be powered with the windows closed, a valuable feature during power outages or camping excursions.
Predictably, the powertrains remain unchanged. The IS300 continues to utilize a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while the IS300h retains its hybrid 2.5-liter powertrain. The flagship IS500 maintains its exhilarating 5.0-liter V8 engine. All versions of the IS sedan adhere to a rear-wheel-drive configuration. It's worth noting that the current generation of the IS made its debut in 2013, receiving subsequent facelifts in 2017 and 2020.
The 2025 Lexus IS lineup is now available for order in Japan. Pricing for the entry-level IS300 commences at $30,700, while the flagship IS500 F Sport commands a premium of $54,300. The exclusive F Sport Mode Black IV special edition carries a price tag of $37,700 for the IS300 and $40,600 for the IS300h.
