Four years after initially hinting at the Gravity SUV, Lucid Motors is finally preparing for its launch, marking a significant expansion of its lineup beyond the Lucid Air sedan. As part of this launch, Lucid has announced the SUV’s pricing structure and confirmed that pre-orders opened on November 7. The Gravity aims to bring new levels of performance, technology, and versatility to Lucid’s lineup, appealing to both luxury and performance-focused buyers.
The Gravity’s entry-level Touring trim will start at $79,900. However, specific range and horsepower details for this model are not yet available, and it will not be available for purchase initially. Instead, Lucid will first release the higher-end Grand Touring version, starting at $94,900. This Grand Touring trim boasts impressive performance specs, including a powerful 800 horsepower and a projected driving range of 440 miles, making it one of the more formidable SUVs in its class.
Inside, the Gravity embraces a sleek, minimalist design that places a heavy emphasis on advanced technology and comfort. The interior is centered around a large, curved display that provides essential driver information alongside a dedicated infotainment system. This is complemented by a two-spoke steering wheel and seating arrangements that can accommodate up to seven passengers. Lucid offers a range of premium options, such as heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, a 22-speaker premium audio setup, and a four-zone climate control system for personalized comfort. Additionally, the front trunk, or "frunk," is designed with flexibility in mind, as it can even be outfitted with seating for two adults — an unusual feature that creates a comfortable space for relaxing while kids engage in activities like sports games.
While Lucid has not yet released the complete specifications or a detailed list of available trims for the Gravity, it has hinted at the possibility of expanding the lineup. Currently, Lucid’s only vehicle, the Air sedan, is available in four trims, ranging from the entry-level Pure to the top-tier Sapphire model. It’s possible that Lucid will eventually introduce similar variations for the Gravity, broadening its appeal and offering more choices for different budgets and performance needs.
Reservations for the Lucid Gravity began on November 7 at 9:00 am PST, and production is expected to start within the coming weeks. Following the Gravity’s release, Lucid plans to expand its offerings further by introducing a more affordable, mid-size crossover aimed at a broader market. This new crossover is expected to launch in 2026 with a price tag below $50,000, making it accessible to a wider audience and enhancing Lucid’s presence in the mass-market electric vehicle space.
