On Wednesday, May 25, Maserati will introduce a new option for customers to "admire the sky," according to the company. It is most likely the previously announced convertible version of its supercar, the MC20, which it did not reveal.
In December 2021, Maserati released official photographs of the drop-top supercar. Even though the automobile was camouflaged, the modifications to the roof structure, the missing side rear window, and the modified design on the rear deck were visible.
The same engine that was previously shown in the coupe will power the MC20 convertible. It has a 3.0-liter V6 engine with 621 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque, allowing it to reach 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 325 km/h.
The manufacturer shared three photos of the sky on Instagram, each taken from the seat of a convertible vehicle and staring straight up. Maserati has announced that, in addition to the convertible, an all-electric version of the MC20 will be available.
Maserati also acknowledged that the body was still comprised of carbon fiber, which should enable it to avoid adding too much weight to compensate for the lost roof with structural reinforcements.
