Porsche Panamera is not the fastest “executive car” at Nurburgring Nordschleife because Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4Matic+ beat it with recording 7:27.800. For the Porsche Panamera Turbo, the time is 7:29.81.
The record measured and certified by wige SOLUTIONS. The record was broken by a professional racing driver Demian Schaffert.
Even though I’ve been accompanying our GT 63 through its development for several years now, it’s always impressive to see the widespread we have been able to achieve with this exclusive vehicle. This is especially true after the recent slight revision. On the one hand, the four-door coupé is comfortable and equipped with many intelligent safety features for everyday driving, and on the other hand, it offers this extremely high level of driving dynamics and precision, which we have now been able to demonstrate once again on the demanding Nordschleife
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4Matic+ could set the lap time with its standard configuration. It has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 630 hp and 900 nm of torque. Power transferred to all four wheels with a 9-speed transmission. Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4Matic+ can hit 100 kph in 3.2 seconds and reach the top speed of 315 kph.
The car was also equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tires and an aerodynamics package that are both available as an option.
