Mercedes-Benz has launched the new Maybach Haute Voiture, which is the most opulent S-Class yet. In 2023, the Mercedes-Maybach Haute Voiture Concept will become a limited-production vehicle.
If you're unfamiliar with the word haute couture, it's a French term for high-end fashion design in which everything is handcrafted from quality materials. As a result, the Maybach S-Class received a makeover in terms of color and trim, with a "unique, fashion-inspired" combination, according to Mercedes.
The ultimate S-Class features a two-tone exterior finish that combines a dark marine blue for the upper area of the body and wheels with a rose finish for the lower half, influenced by high-end fashion.
The sumptuous inside follows the color scheme seen on the outside, with bouclé fabric in blue, beige, and rose gold adorning the door cards and soft pillow aka scatter cushions on the seats.
The dashboard is lacquered and has rose gold lines to match the center console decorations. The leather-upholstered instrument panel, doors, headrests, and headliner all have a star design. Finally, the door pockets, inlay mats, and scatter cushions are all covered in animal-free white artificial fur.
White Nappa leather may be found pretty much everywhere these days. Maybach even went so far as to give the MBUX's infotainment system gleaming rose gold highlights. The home button also has a rose gold ring and the Mercedes-Maybach insignia clearly displayed.
A model of this caliber could not be without a few handmade fashion accessories. The same materials used in the interior of the S-Class were used to produce a barrel bag in various sizes and two entire handcrafted costumes.
There's no indication on which engine will power the production car, but we're guessing the S680's V12 engine will be visible under the hood. The S680 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 621 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque.
Although the model is shown in concept form, it is close to being ready for production. The Mercedes-Maybach Haute Voiture Concept was unveiled with the Project Maybach x Virgil Abloh Concept and the limited-edition Mercedes-Maybach S680 By Virgil Abloh at the Art Of Creating Desire show in Cote d'Azur. Although the price has not yet been revealed, this opulent super sedan is expected to cost well over $200,000.
