Although the MG4 EV was hinted at and seen in February, here is the first opportunity for us to glimpse its exterior and interior designs without any disguise. The MG4 EV, an entirely new model scheduled for release in the UK this September, has received its first official images, according to MG.

A five-door hatchback body style with a few crossover stylistic characteristics is adopted by the MG4 EV. The Modular Scalable Platform (MSP) design, which will support a number of new models in various segments, will be unveiled for the first time with the MG4 EV.

With strong LED headlights and aerodynamic lines on the front bumper evocative of the newly facelifted MG5 EV, MG designers chose a grill-less design for the front.

Due to the glass roof, the rear has full-width LED taillights and a two-part rear spoiler that resembles the continuation of the roofline. Additionally, the rear bumper sports a skid plate made of aluminum.

A fully digital dashboard, infotainment touchscreen, wireless charging pad, and a circular knob are all located inside the interior. With a tiny free-standing digital instrument cluster behind it, the two-spoke steering wheel has a similar appearance to what we have seen from manufacturers like Skoda.

The new Modular Scalable Platform (MSP), an RWD EV-specific design, will be unveiled in the MG4 EV and will deliver the most recent advancements in efficiency, technology, and safety. The platform is touted to provide better handling because of its 50:50 weight distribution and 110 mm-low battery height.

Although the platform will be capable of supporting AWD with the addition of a second front-mounted electric motor, the vehicle will be equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor.

The MG4 EV will come in two battery sizes, 51 kWh or 64 kWh, with a WLTP range of 350-452 km.

The company said that the new design will support a variety of vehicles, including hatchbacks, SUVs, and sports cars, the latter of which is probably alluding to the MG Cyberster production model. It will work with wheelbase lengths ranging from 2,650 mm to 3,100 mm, accommodating a wide range of segments.

The details of the MG4 EV, including its price for the UK market, will be released by MG soon.
